The International
College of Management, Sydney (ICMS), a leading private provider of higher
education, is seeking to appoint an experienced person to the position of
Student Experience Officer on a full time basis. The successful applicant will
be required to work time to time outside of normal hours and weekends from our
Northern Beaches, Manly location.
This position will
be responsible for the provision of leadership, management and for delivering
comprehensive programs for students in the areas of sport, recreation, social
and cultural engagement. The incumbent will be a ‘key person’ for ICMS students
during their studies, either on and
/or off campus, and will be required to
develop positive relationships with the students to become the supportive ‘go
to’ person for student issues.
ICMS is seeking a
passionate ‘people orientated’ person who is highly motivated, is experienced
in working with students or similar, is hands-on and able to work efficiently
and collaboratively with staff across the ICMS organisation.

Essential
Criteria
- Experience
and knowledge of relevant legislation, standards & procedures for safe
management and delivery of sporting activities - Have a
current first aid certificate - Ability
to lead and manage groups of students in sporting, social and cultural
activities, events and functions - Previous
student recreation and sports administration experience (preferably in the
higher education sector) - Must be
able to work outside of normal hours and weekends - Excellent
communication skills - Strong
interpersonal skills, punctuality and professional grooming - Ability
to lead and manage multiple tasks - Experience
in dealing with students including those from culturally diverse
backgrounds - Ability
to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team - Effective
computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Highly
Desirable Criteria
- Tertiary
qualifications in events and sports management - Experience
working in a similar position with students within a tertiary
environment
This position will
report to the Vice President – Operations.
