The

is seeking to recruit a self-motivated Accounts Assistant to provide
timely and efficient accounting support to CIAT projects in Rwanda; working
very closely with the finance and administration team members to ensure that
accounting processes and internal control procedures across the organization
flow in a smooth manner.

Main
duties and responsibilities include:

- Petty
Cash Management – banking and timely capture of expenditures, support
documents and replenishment - Review
support documentation pertaining to project seed stores and respective
reconciliations - Booking
and posting of invoices in the accounting system in Agresso - Payment
processing and documentation - Register
and follow-up on vehicle mileage chargebacks - Support
projects audits by providing required support documents - VAT
remittance and follow-up
Required
competencies, skills and experience:

- Diploma
in accounting or business management - Should
have attained a minimum of Accounting CPA II certification - At
least three (3) years of relevant work experience in a closely related
field gained in an international organization; - High
level of computer skills with working knowledge of an accounting software
and ability to learn new applications quickly. - Possess
good interpersonal and communication skills and a high level of integrity
and respect for confidentiality

is a national position and will be for an initial period of one (1) year,
renewable subject to three (3) months’ probation, assessment of performance,
