Interlake
Publishing requires a multimedia journalist to fill a full-time position for
the Interlake Spectator.
Qualifications
- The successful applicant
needs to be a self-starter, able to work independently and as a team
member. - Applicants with at
least three years of experience or a degree or diploma in journalism
are preferred. - The successful applicant will
write numerous stories per week and take photos on a wide range of topics
including municipal politics, sports and human interest stories, with the
goal of making us a lively, diverse, community-oriented content provider,
both online and in print. - The successful applicant must
be willing to work flexible hours to cover various news shifts and events. - They will be required to work
out of our Stonewall office. - Updating the website daily is
also a requirement. - An interest in and passion
for online news is crucial. - A working knowledge of Adobe
InDesign is a definite asset.
