THE OPPORTUNITY & RESPONSIBILITIES
Inkomoko seeks a highly talented and experienced Business Development Associate
to work directly with clients to write their business plans and provide
technical expertise/strategy advising.
Current responsibilities include:
BUSINESS PLAN DEVELOPMENT (60% time)
• Meet with each new entrepreneur to compl

• Conduct site visits to fully understand business needs and
opportunities
• Draft detailed and comprehensive business plans based on
the client input form, business trends, SWOT analysis, industry market analysis
• Generate financial statements and profitability analyses
• Regular communication with client & relationship
management to reflect client objectives
• Print and bind final copies of business plan for the client
STRATEGIC ADVISING & CLIENT RELATIONSHIP
MANAGEMENT (30% time)
• Provide informed, strategic, and realistic advice to help
client meet their objectives, or shift their objectives towards better
sustainability/profitability.
• On-going client management, site visits, and other
engagement to provide real-time advising on strengths, opportunities,
weaknesses and threats
• Connect client to other Inkomoko services, including
mentorship pairings, classes, and other services as applicable
• Explore financial opportunities/challenges with clients
(both from Inkomoko and from other sources), advising them on how investment
impacts their business plan and growth
MANAGEMENT (30% time)

• Conduct due diligence on incoming loan applications,
including establishing risk and client readiness with Finance Director
• General maintenance of client files, reports and
coordination with colleagues, and general office maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

environments with enthusiasm, patience, a sense of humor, and imagination.
Qualifications include:
• Must have excellent Kinyarwanda and English
• Background in finance or ability to produce financial
reports/projections for clients
• Deep understanding of go-to market strategies and growth
strategies for businesses in the area of tech/IT, consumer goods, professional
services, education, etc.
• Past experience writing sophisticated business plans with a
deep understanding of strategies of how to help businesses grow
• Ability to work with high-profile individuals and companies
by demonstrating high levels of professionalism
• Candidates must possess excellent computer skills
• 4 years experience, work with entrepreneurs required
• Undergraduate degree required
