Co-Ordinator/Buying

A
TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE :
  • Assist
    in coordinating and monitoring complete product development process.
  • Coordinating
    samples, print strike-offs/ lab dips; identifying potential QC issues
    and troubleshooting them. Preparing approval samples for final Sign
    Off from the Product Manager/Buyer.
  • Data
    entry and maintenance of development spreadsheets, price lists and
    photographic register;
  • Effectively
    communicating with overseas suppliers and customers on a daily basis.
  • Administrative
    activities including arranging overseas and local couriers and processing
    purchase orders.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
To be successful you must have the
following skills and experience:
  • A
    tertiary level qualification (fashion, interiors preffered etc);
  • Knowledge
    of Apparel/Homewares production and/or product
    development, quality assurance and laboratory testing in textiles
    preferred.
  • Excellent
    computer skills in all MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience in Creative
    Adobe Suite (Illustrator & Photoshop)
  • High
    level attention to detail; A demonstrated ability to multi-task and
    meet deadlines;
  • Team
    player attitude and willingness to think outside the box
  • Flexibility
    with regards to job responsibilities. Extremely strong ability to
    multi-task; with the desire to work in a fast paced environment and an
    ability to not become frustrated with last minute changes.
  • Effective
    interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  • Must
    demonstrate an energetic, positive, helpful attitude and a passion and
    interest in Homewares.
