The Trust wishes to
recruit an Assistant Country Manager to assist in all stages of the project
cycle. The role will have responsibilities relating to:

1. Pre-project
planning

Understanding
project scope
Design
Estimation
Communication
with partners

2. In-project
quality control

Achieving
a consistent approach to construction across multiple sites
Ensuring
set procedures are followed across sites
Improving
safe practice

3. Post-project
monitoring and evaluation

Completing
reviews of HYT’s structures and their impact
Suggesting
and implementing design improvements based upon these reviews

4. Providing general
assistance to the Country Manager

Office
& staff management
Social
media, blogs & website
Any
other assistance

It will be a
full-time role with the Trust based at its office in Jinja town, one of the
friendliest in the region, at the source of the River Nile.

Applicants should
have the following skills:

Be the
holder of a suitably technical degree (Engineering, Architecture, BSc,
etc.) and have a technical eye
Be
willing to work within a small team in a leadership role and have
excellent communication skills
Have
excellent written English
Have
excellent computer literacy with a good knowledge of Excel
Be the
holder of a clean driving licence and be a confident driver
Be
willing to spend time working on computer models of future buildings using
SketchUp (no previous knowledge required)

This advertisement
is for a full time position with the Trust for one year with a three month
probation period, after which employment will be confirmed, or terminated with
no further redress. Upon expiry of the contract after one year, renewal will be
possible by mutual agreement. The start date is as soon as possible.
