Job Title: Directing Coordinator of the Seed

The Coordinator of the Seed Comm

unity Food Hub will provide strategic
leadership to develop and implement the mission, resource and
organizational base of the Seed Community Food Hub in the first three
years, with the goal of launching the Seed in a permanent space. The
Seed will have its priorities identified through continued
consultation processes while meeting the agreed upon values and
guidelines established to date. The Directing Coordinator will work on
behalf of the steering committee to provide leadership to staff and
volunteers, acting as the public face of the organization, developing
positive community relations through collaboration and developing the
physical site and its’ operations.

You have a post-secondary education in social sciences and/or
management as well as experience and knowledge in the not for profit
sector is preferred. You have strong facilitation and community
consultation skills coupled with four or more years experience in
program and staff management. You possess demonstrated abilities in
written and verbal communication: strong public speaking skills will
be necessary for the position and have experience working in
low-income and marginalized communities with an anti-oppressive lens.
You have experience in fund development and a passion for social
justice and food security related issues and experience with programs
that address the issues of hunger and poverty. You possess the ability
to motivate the community, staff and volunteers to achieve the goals
of the Seed and have effective time management, decision making and
organizational skills and the capacity to be flexible in changing
environments, while being innovative You understand
 and are committed to the Mission, Vision and Values of the Guelph CHC.
