national team. We are seeking an Online Promotion and Marketing
Manager, with 2-4 years experience, who understands our organization
and shares our passion for equipping youth with the tools they need to
shape a better tomorrow. You can work from anywhere in Canada and
would be able to commit 2-3 days per week.

GreenLearning Canada Foundation is a registered charitable,
not-for-profit organization incorporated federally in 2010. The GLCF
Board represents a broad cross-section of different environmental
education stakeholders.
Roles
Our Online Promotion and Marketing Manager will play two key roles in
GreenLearning: manage our online presence and develop key marketing
tools.
Online Presence – Content Creator
GreenLearning develops exceptional educational resources for teachers
that are on the cutting edge of education, energy, and the
environment. We want our online presence to reflect this. We are
looking for someone who manages our social media and online presence
by promoting our initiatives and brand, and generates content so that
GreenLearning is viewed as a thought leader. In this position you will
not only promote GreenLearning programs and initiatives but also
produce content that is philosophically aligned with our organization
and brand.
Marketing
Our ideal candidate is able to build scalable, creative and
results-oriented marketing programs for our organization. Excellent
marketing, communication and project management skills are essential
to this position. You will be responsible for planning, developing and
managing the marketing strategies and activities to meet our
organizational objectives, and will oversee all promotional and event
activities.
Responsibilities
• Manage all GreenLearning social media accounts (including Twitter,
Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
• Manage and create weekly or bi-weekly newsletters
• Develop content to share across social media platforms
• Use online content to gain more teacher users and credibility, be
seen as an industry leader, and optimize search engine rankings.
• Produce relevant reports to demonstrate website usage and registrations
• Produce and publish clear and compelling marketing content such as
news releases, newsletters, and other corporate documents that
positively shape the perceptions of the media, community, customers,
and partners about GreenLearning.
• Work with our partners to promote GreenLearning and raise awareness
across all target markets
• Develop relationships with media contacts and seek out opportunities
to place articles and arrange interviews.
• Establish, monitor, measure and report success of initiatives
against planned targets and objectives
• Reports directly to the Executive Director
Qualifications:
• Passion for education, energy and the environment.
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong project management skills, with ability to juggle multiple
projects and a keen eye for detail
• Independent worker
• Experience with multimedia storytelling is an asset.
• Experience with storify, hootsuite and pintrest.
• Motivated individual who will innovate and stay ahead of the curve.
• Experience in digital strategy
• Understands community building and how to approach social and
digital media strategically.
• Experience developing marketing materials
• Ability to translate complex concepts into simple and intuitive
communications
• Creative flair to bring fresh ideas to product positioning and
marketing campaigns
• Ability to work with a variety of subject matter experts, both
business and technical, to tailor content appropriately for target
customers/partners
• Comfort with a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment
• Creative and strategic thinker
Compensation and Benefits
The salary rate is competitive for an online promotion and marketing
manager in the non-profit sector and will be based on skills,
experience and qualifications of the successful candidate
