The
Nursery Superintendent is responsible for the supervision and day-to-day
operations of the Burford Tree Nursery. Reporting to the Supervisor of
Forestry Operations, the Nursery Superintendent is required to produce trees
and shrubs to meet the needs of the Grand River Conservation Authority’s tree
planting programs.

Carry out the propagation and growing of nursery stock, consisting of bare root
seedlings, whips, and saplings, as well as, container grown seedlings, and
potted material; ensuring a quality product at a competitive price.

Minimum of a college diploma in horticulture, forestry or a related field with
at least 3-6 years of relevant work experience (at least 2 of which being in a

annual salary range for this position is Job Grade F $59,049 to $71,836 and
hours of work are 40 per week during the peak season and 35 per week during the
