BACKGROUND
Good Neighbors
International (GNI) is an international humanitarian and development Non-
Governmental Organization in General Consultative Status with the United
Nations Economic and Social

Council (UN ECOSOC). GNI strives to improve lives,
especially children’s lives, through community development projects.

GNI would like to inform the public that we are now
hiring a qualified and experienced accountant for our area office in Huye;
South Province.
                                                             ACCOUNTANT
(1)    
 Tasks and Responsibilities
       Deal with the organization’s bank
in respect of payments and receipts. 
Ensure that all bank accounts are regularly reviewed and reconciled.
      
Manage
bank accounts for project sites, check and record financial transactions
      
Assist
monthly project budget analysis and prepare regular
financial reports (QuickBooks) by meeting deadline
      
Manage
all financial activities, accounts receivable and payables of the organization
      
Verify
all projects budget proposal and give some advice on it
      
Link the
budget with the annual action plans to avoid mismatch caused by over budgeting
or under budgeting
       Manage efficiently all contracts
and to ensure that all the Company’s expenditure is correctly authorized and
accounted for.
       Ensure the overall smooth running
of the organization’s internal administration and its cost-effectiveness.
       Manage, in conjunction with
Managing Director and Country Director, staff contracts and HR matters.
       Manage personnel files in
relation to recruitment, leave, ensuring these are properly documented, and
advice on relevant policies.
       Deal with procurement and
tendering processes to secure the best deals for GNI from service providers.
      
Perform
additional jobs assigned by Managing Director, Country Director and Managers.
The interested candidate must
fulfill the following conditions:
The
candidate must have Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
Minimum
proved of 3 years of progressive professional experience with  a sound understanding of working with an
international NGO; fluent in English, high computer skills and good in MS
office (Word, Excel, Power point); QuickBooks software is an added advantage.
