Background:
Girl Hub is a non-profit organization supported by DFID and the Nike
Foundation. GH is dedicated to investing in adolescent girls as the most
powerful force for change in the developing world: the Girl Effect. The Girl
Effect has proven effective at the local level in a variety of ways, and has
gained momentum both with girls in the regions where we work and
internationally via attracting critical partners.
Girl Hub Rwanda in partnership with Linkage Outsourcing Service a leading
recruitment Firm in Rwanda, seeks to recruit a Project Manager
responsible for providing management support to the NN Brand and Editorial
team, particularly in the areas of developing the roadshow mechanics (checking
feasibility of event taking place- locations, reach target audience etc.)
strategy implementation; as well as providing support on the planning,
coordination and management of the NN promo awareness campaign production
process
NN Awareness Campaign Roadshow
The roadshow will be the culmination of the NN (NI IYANJYE NAWE) promo
awareness campaign it has been scheduled to take place week commencing 30th
September 2013 to run over four days in 4 districts/regions across Rwanda.
Key duties and responsibilities:
The roadshow concept is being co-designed with the girl journalists to ensure
the event is relevant and resonates with the target audience. The project
manager will support in bringing the concept to life through:
• Working with Brand/Editorial team and NN journalists to co-design the NI
IYANJYE NAWE roadshow
• Developing and coordinating a project timeline to facilitate the
conceptualization and production process
• Identifying and ascertaining the proposed locations for the roadshow and
acquire permission from relevant authorities
• Assisting Brand team in coordinating with Creative Agency (CC) in the
development of the roadshow concept/theme- mechanics
• Working with SFCG to connect with affiliate stations (as well as community
radios) to hype the roadshow
• Managing and coordinating vendors in event production: acquiring permits,
vehicles, AP system, photographer, film crew etc.
• Managing and coordinating the day to day preceding the roadshow events
• Managing the activities taking place during the roadshows/events on location
• Ensuring contracts, POs and payments are made to vendors upon delivery or as
stipulated in agreements.
