Global: Trade and International has a client that is in need a General Manager
– Shipping (Metals / Minerals). The position will be based in Tanzania.
Administration of Engineering and sailing functions
§ Raising strategies
that links up with concessions given by the Privatisation Commission on the
management of the Shipping Company.
§ Appraising the
efficacy of the Logistics put in place streamlining operations and seeing the return
being generated and coming up with remedial actions which will address the
short falls.
§ Monitoring the
preparation of ships, sea worthiness certificates and linking up with Marine
Department on matters affecting water transport for passengers and cargo.
§ Raising the
company’s fiscal budget and presenting it to Head Office for discussion and
approval.
§ Exploring commercial
avenues that can be used to earn revenue on the ships at the lake and what
modalities could those commercial avenues follow.
§ Any other activities
that would be assigned by authorities from time to time.
Engineering and Marine Administration. Those with vast experience of
engineering or sailing plus operations in Deep Sea have an added advantage.
§ At least 5-10 years
of relevant experience.

Seeing to it that corporate objectives set up by the company are being
consistently achieved, and exploring market niches that can add value to
current operations.
