PSYCHIATRIC NURSE
1 Perm. Full Time Position

This position will work from 2 locations; Iris Kirby House, St. John’s and O’Shaughnessy House, Carbonear.
Duties: Provides a plan of care for resident(s) with psychiatric illness; work will involve assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating a psychiatric care plan for residents with mental illness in collaboration with other health care providers and shelter staff; developing standards of care for residents as well as goals and objectives in assisting the resident(s) move forward; works as part of the staffing team of non-professional personnel regarding a variety of routine resident care duties; monitors medication and takes inventory of controlled drugs; provides written reports for the shelter staff shift change.
Qualifications: Registration as a Nurse in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador; graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree; experience in psychiatric nursing preferred. Any equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.
Hours of Work: 80 hours bi-weekly; involves shift work. Salary: $59,338.50 – $72,891.00 Benefits package includes pension plan and comprehensive group insurance package.
