CLIENT
Our client has become the leading freight forwarder in the UK. It employs over 1200 staff across 25 locations and retains one of the most loyal client and employee bases in the freight forwarding industry.
ROLE
The role involves developing and maintain effective business relationships with new and existing clients and will offer a high standard of customer service to internal and external customers. You will be demonstrating a professional, helpful and positive manner, taking responsibility to ensure that work of high quality is passed onto others. You will be required to undertake presentations, produce and present tenders and proposals and provide quotations when required. You will also be required to build relationships with overseas agents, support visits to and from them and provide sales leads to them. You will monitor developments in the market, demonstrate effective time management and communicate to all departments.
CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will be an accomplished freight forwarding sales executive/ business development manager with a strong bias towards having sold air freight services. You will possess and excellent knowledge of imports/exports procedures, and ideally a knowledge of road and sea freight although this is not essential to the role. You will be a self-motivated, sales orientated and focused individual with excellent communication skills.
PACKAGE
The salary is within the £30-40k range basic, with a £55-60k OTE. Car, laptop and blackberry.
