We
are currently seeking a Senior Coordinator, Donor Engagement to
join our team. The ideal candidate will have an interest and 1-3 years
experience in fundraising and donor stewardship, be extremely detailed-oriented
and have an affinity for customer service, information management and project
coordination.

Coordinator, Donor Engagement will be responsible for overseeing our general
donor portfolio, as well as lead projects related to monthly giving, WE
Families, holiday campaign and special events supported by the team.
The
position is based out of Free The Children’s International office in Toronto
(233 Carlton Street). There is a three (3) month probationary period, upon
reaching the three (3) month period, all staff members are offered a health
plan including dental and Employee Assistance Program.

Responsibilities:
Donor
Engagement
  • Respond
    to general donor inquiries, maintaining a high standard of donor satisfaction
    through prompt and effective problem-solving
  • Work
    to retain and upsell donors, providing opportunities at higher giving
    levels where appropriate
  • Act
    as a hub of information, coordination and support to the team’s donor
    relationship managers
  • Coordinate
    the monthly donor program, including overall program administration as
    well as program planning, outreach and honouring
  • Engage
    general donors in targeted opportunities and campaigns throughout the
    year, providing support as needed
  • Attend
    and represent the organization at fundraising and networking events
Honouring
& Stewardship
  • Create
    scalable stewardship plan and strategy for general and monthly donors
  • Coordinate
    donor engagement events to further engage donors and/or prospects
  • Coordinate
    donor thank you’s and other honouring activities as needed
Administration
& Project Management
  • Work
    closely with the donor services team to ensure smooth processes and
    accountability
  • Carry
    out a variety of administrative responsibilities related to donor
    management, including diligent maintenance of donor records
  • Prepare
    financial tracking and tracking reports
  • Create
    donor reports and communications pieces
  • Supports
    holiday campaign projects and calling campaign
Reporting
and Relationships
  • Reports
    directly to the Director of Donor Engagement
  • Reports
    to the Executive Director and Co-founders on an as-needed basis
  • This
    role is expected to be collaborative with numerous departments within the
    organization, developing opportunities on behalf of the team.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary
    education
  • 1-3
    years professional work experience in a fundraising role, or related field
  • Excellent
    administrative, communication and inter-personal skills
  • Proficiency
    with project management and process development
  • Strong
    professional writing skills (i.e. correspondence and reports)
  • Proven
    ability to take initiative and remain solution driven
  • Proven
    ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive
    and energetic
  • Demonstrated
    ability to work both independently and within a larger team
  • Experience
    working with basic word processing and financial software (e.g., Microsoft
    Word, Microsoft Excel, SalesForce)
  • Valid
    driver’s license an asset
