Fintrac is a leading
US-based agribusiness consulting firm with over twenty years of experience
developing agricultural solutions to end hunger and poverty worldwide. We are
currently seeking senior technical and management specialists for an
anticipated USAID – funded Private Sector-Driven Agricultural Growth (PSD-AG)
project in Rwanda. The project will focus on increasing smallholder incomes by
promoting private sector investment in the agricultural sector. All openings
are contingent upon Fintrac being awarded this project.
Fintrac is
seeking candidates for the following positions:
Agribusiness
/ Commercial Partnerships Specialist
Qualifications:
- Master’s
degree or equivalent in agribusiness, agricultural economics, business
administration or a related field - Minimum
10 years of experience in a mix of agricultural development, investment
and/or trade promotion, supply/value chain competitiveness and commercial
agriculture - Demonstrated
experience and leadership in formation of commercial market linkages,
public-private partnerships and corresponding business/investment plans - Fluency
in written and spoken English required
Agribusiness
Enabling Environment Specialist
Qualifications:
- Master’s
degree or equivalent in law, public policy or public administration.
Specialization in investment law or policy a plus - Minimum
10 years of experience and demonstrated technical knowledge of
food/agriculture policies and systems. Prior private sector development
experience is preferred - At
least 5 years relevant experience in developing investment policy
technical assistance and/or carrying out investment climate reform,
advisory services, business projects or consultancy programs - Ability
to apply practical, private-sector experience in agriculture to issues of
policy and business climate reform that pertain to the Rwandan context - Fluency
in written and oral English required
Chief
Financial Officer/Grants Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum
10 years of experience managing sub-grants and subcontracts for
international development projects - Demonstrated
knowledge of USAID rules and regulations related to the oversight of
grants, contracts and financial management - Fluency
in written and spoken English required
Fintrac is also
recruiting for technical experts in horticulture, staple and cash crop
production, nutrition, gender, agricultural credit and monitoring and
evaluation. All candidates should have an in-depth understanding of the Rwandan
agricultural sector. Qualified Rwandan candidates will be given preference.
