Field Service Engineer in Charge need to travel to customer locations or are assigned to an individual customer site. They are responsible for on-site installations; startup, diagnosis, service and repair of Ultratech photolithography and/or laser anneal equipment. They function as Ultratech liaison with customers on administrative, technical, operational, and maintenance issues.
The work week schedule will vary with customer requests and Ultratech’s business requirements.
• Must be able to interface with multiple departments to ensure consistent and effective communication.
• Must be able to build and maintain relationships with customer, vendors, and department contacts
• Possess excellent time management skills
• Process excellent semi-conductor capital equipment trouble shooting skills
Responsibilities:
• Act as primary interface between the customer and UT Singapore, San Jose
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of complex electronic and mechanical equipment.
• Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
• Field Service Management for technical issues; monitor system performance; maintain issues list; assign and monitor work of field personnel assigned to support TI Clark.
• Provide constructive feedback to, and interface with, technical support, design engineering, manufacturing, reliability group, as well as other internal Ultratech departments.
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings, schematics, procedures, and technical manuals.
• Have good time management skills to complete all required tasks.
• Role model for FSEs in terms of work attitude, punctuality, decision making. Guide FSEs in customer interactions, diplomatically rejecting requests that are above Ultratech’s commitments.
• Must be intimately familiar with established clean room protocol, procedures and requirements
Physical Characteristics:
• Exposure to High Voltage work areas.
• Must be able to:
o Lift 75 lbs.
o Work in enclosed spaces.
o Crawl, bend, and maneuver body to work in some segments of our semiconductor equipment.
o Work in clean room environment requiring the use of full-face clean room garments.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years experience in servicing or installing semiconductor capital equipment Photolithography experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in semiconductor wafer manufacturing, specifically steppers or metrology tools preferred
