POSITION TITLE: Technical officer,
Nutrition
GRADE: Seven (7)
REPORT TO: ROADS Rwanda Project
Manager
LOCATION: FILL/Rwanda, Rusizi
Office
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work
independently, as well as with a team.
- Possess strong communication,
organizational and analytical skills, high attention to the detail.
- In-depth knowledge of the
Infant and Yang child Nutrition (IYCN),maternal nutrition and food
security programming and policies
- Demonstrated ability to
transfer knowledge to various audiences through training mentoring and
other formal and non-formal methods.
- Have familiarity with public
health sector in Rwanda; and experience in nutrition or food security
programs preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal,
writing and communication and team building skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Computer proficiency (MS
Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point)
- Fluency in Kinyarwanda and
English, French proficiency also preferred.
- Ability to work with minimal
supervision
Education/Experience:
- Advanced Degree or
Bachelor Degree with preference given to nutrition and/or Public Health,
- Previous experience working
with design, implementation and management of nutrition or community
health programs,
- Minimum 5 years working
experience in the nutrition field or more within an International NGO
setting.
OR
- Master Degree preferably in
Nutrition and/or Public health;
- Previous Experience of 2
years working in nutrition community program
