Featherstone Farm is a family run enterprise, relocated this fall and in its first year of establishment at its new location. We run a mixed operation with one cow, a small herd of dairy and meat goats, tamworth pigs, a variety of heritage chickens, ducks and turkeys, as well as a market garden and anything else we can dream up to do and market if possible. We are pretty much organic but uncertified and looking to become more biodynamic overtime.
We are looking for a motivated person, couple or persons to live on farm and help us with all aspects of running the farm. I mention child care assistance as I have 3 young children and to help free me up to teach and do some work myself would be ideal. We have just brought in a 24ft camp trailer for accommodation which will be positioned with a great view of the escarpment. We can offer this accommodation as well as some farm products and on-farm opportunities. Looking for people to start nearly immediately.
