Associate – Private Equity Fund
Qualifications/Skills
The Candidate should have the following qualifications and skills:
Pre-requisite:
• Strong academic credentials in engineering, business or economics. MBA preferred or experience in Investment Banking or investment as a principal.
• Five years or more experience in financial analysis, project finance or engineering, preferably within the energy industry.
• High level of financial modeling skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong writing skills.
• Detail oriented person capable of analyzing and identifying key aspects of potential investments.
• Written and spoken Mandarin equivalent to a native speaker
• Willing to relocate to Singapore
Requisite Knowledge:
• Detailed knowledge of executing transactions, debt and equity financing.
• Hands-on experience in structuring and analysis of a project financial model
• Ability to analyze the economics of an energy project and discuss key economic issues with senior management and investors.
• A knowledge of the power markets in developing countries of Asia including key industry participants, and regulatory requirements and trends.
• An understanding of the technical requirements for constructing, operating and maintaining power generation, transmission and distribution facilities and their subsequent economic implications.

• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills in both English and Mandarin a must.
• Proven relationship-building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in a challenging market environment.
• Adept at interfacing with third parties such as the utility, inspectors, government officials, and project developers.
• Able to represent the project company on all technical aspects of communication to other stakeholders, such as banks, insurers, and partners.
• Well versed in dealing with insurers and lenders and helping to keep the project in compliance with lending and insurance requirements.
