Overview:
The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator coordinates and supports the engagement of
volunteers in programs and activities primarily at (EBW) Evergreen Brick Works
and also across Evergreen. This employee ensures a positive, dynamic and
impactful volunteer experience for volunteers and staff which helps achieve
Evergreen’s mission and deliver programs.

impactful volunteer experience for volunteers and staff which helps achieve
Evergreen’s mission and deliver programs.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Provide
coordination and support for all aspects of volunteer engagement at
Evergreen: from role development, recruitment and screening to
orientation, volunteer development and recognition; help ensure volunteer
engagement processes on track - Act
as the first point of contact for enquiries about volunteering; support
the matching and screening of prospective volunteers; provide excellent
customer service to both volunteers and staff; - Develop
and grow volunteer engagement at EBW and more broadly at Evergreen; part
of the volunteer engagement team; support key strategic projects like
evaluation and the development of volunteer leaders - Collaborate
with, train and coach program, events and operations staff, supporting
them on volunteer engagement and management; part of key EBW project teams
as appropriate - Ensure
accurate records for volunteers are kept, primarily with the volunteer
management software; - Responsible
for the direct oversight of EBW volunteer teams at select festivals and
events.

Qualifications:
- 1-3
years of previous experience in coordinating volunteers; - Solid
people-relation skills; - Highly
organized and self-motivated; - Strong
computer skills (eg. Microsoft Word, social media, volunteer database
experience an asset, ideally Volunteer Impact) - Able
to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
