Do you want to stop Enbridge in BC? Are you an ally to First Nations?
Are you great at social media promotions and a solid organizer not
afraid to pick up the phone and call new people?
Pull-Together.ca is a new fundraising campaign with a vision to raise
substantial funds for First Nations legal challenges to stop Northern
Gateway. A project of RAVEN Trust, Sierra Club BC, and other partners,
the campaign has alrea
dy raised close to $25,000 via support from
multiple Northern BC communities, individuals who commit to
fundraising online, one-time donors, small businesses, NGO allies, and
major donors.
We have ambitious goals to slowly but consistently grow the campaign’s
profile, building the narrative towards becoming a high profile public
campaign culminating in multiple events, online activity, media and
social media promotion by the end of the campaign in the fall 2014.
The online campaigner / partnerships lead will:
• recruit and support core supporters to set up fundraising profiles
and successfully campaign within their networks
• recruit progressive businesses to run fundraising challenges and
promote the campaign within their establishments (one Yoga studio has
already committed to raising $10K from their multiple locations)
• use their digital, writing and outreach skills, promote the campaign
online and within allied partner networks
This position will have access to an online promotions budget, the
support of a PR specialist and a graphic designer. You will work in
collaboration with peers in other NGO’s working on the campaign and
under the direction of a senior digital campaigner.
The position is part time contract from September to November. We
prefer a candidate based Vancouver or Victoria.
