About Yarralin
Yarralin, also known as Walangeri, is an Indigenous community located on the Wickham River, 389km south west of Katherine. The stunning outback location is in close proximity to the Gregory National Park and the spectacular Jasper Gorge. The community is home to 300 people and has a postal agency, primary school, new police station, store, medical clinic and airstrip with charter flights.

About the Opportunity
Victoria Daly Shire Council has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Workshop Team Leader to join its Infrastructure and Civil Works Division, based in Yarralin/Pigeon Hole.

Reporting to the Shire Services Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the Workshop department is managed effectively and efficiently in carrying out a high standard of repairs and maintenance to Victoria Daly Shire Council’s plant, machinery and equipment.

In this role you will work in a welcoming, supportive and close-knit environment. Your accommodation will be provided by Council and can be negotiated to suit your circumstances, whether you relocate alone or with a partner/family.
