Emergency Grants for UK and International Women Graduates

FfWG offers Emergency need based grants for UK and
international women graduates. It is a top up award available for women
graduate students who faced with financial difficulties at their higher
education in the UK. The grant covers living expenses for the whole year. There
is no age limit for applicants. These are one off payments to assist with the
completion of an academic year’s work. Closing date for application is 7 October
2013.
Study Subject(s): The grant
is provided to learn any of the courses offered by the higher institutions in
the UK.
Course Level: The grant is awarded for graduate students to assist with
the completion of an academic year’s work.

Eligibility:-Women
graduates from Britain and overseas are eligible to apply.
-There is no upper age limit.

eligible for this graduate grant.
Scholarship Description: An Emergency Grant is not a ‘top up’ award – all students are short of
money. You must show in your application how you had made provision for your
living expenses for the whole academic year. Emergency Grants are not available
for a shortfall in fees. The Emergency Grant scheme is intended to help those
women graduate students who are faced with financial difficulties because of
unforeseen and unexpected circumstances beyond their control which might
prevent the completion of their year’s work. In 2013 applications will be
considered twice a year: in March and November.
Duration of award(s): These are one off payments.
What does it cover? These are one off payments to assist with the completion of an academic
year’s work. No grant is likely to exceed £2,500. All our grants are offered on
a needs basis and therefore not all grants will be for £2,500.
Selection Criteria: All grants are offered on a needs basis.
Notification: If you are successful
you will be informed of the outcome of your application approximately two
months after the closing date.
How to Apply: The mode
of applying is by post. An application form for an Emergency Grant may be
obtained by e-mail only from the Grants Administrator at:-
grants-at-ffwg.org.uk you need to explain the nature of the emergency and the
course you are studying.
Scholarship Application Deadline: The closing date for the November round of Emergency Grants is Monday
7 October 2013.
