Lead – School Leadership for Learning – Rwanda

Education
Development Trust is delivering an exciting programme of support to the Rwanda
Ministry of Education to support its drive to improve the country’s primary
education system. Our 3-year programme aims to deliver improved numeracy and
functional literacy standards in English and strengthen the system at all
levels.

We are now inviting
applications for the post of School Leadership for Learning – Team Lead from
experienced educationalists

interested in working with Education Development
Trust to deliver this exciting, system changing, 3-year programme.

Your role will be to
build on the teacher development initiatives happening simultaneously by
creating a headteacher and education officer coaching programme using national
and local leaders of learning, enhanced parental involvement and aligned
inspection processes to embed the changes.

You will have a
strong background in academic leadership and management at school level, as
well as a proven record of working with successful cluster-based professional
learning communities. You will have highly developed skills in teacher
performance management, leading organisational and institutional capacity
development, change management and coaching. Previous experience of living and
working in a developing country context is required.

Interviews will take
place in the week beginning 12 February 2018. The selected candidate will be
expected to start work in Rwanda as soon as possible thereafter.
