The UK is now the worlds most advanced market for internet advertising with UK brands investing £4.1bn in internet advertising in 2010 and online now accounting for £1 in every £4 spent on marketing budgets . In 2009 Internet advertising overtook TV advertising to become the biggest single medium. With growing number of online users (the UK’s active online user base reaching 40.3 million last year), cheaper hardware, faster broadband speeds, the growth of mobile applications, video formats, the growth of social media and continued advertiser confidence this is set to continue with double digit growth predicted for 2011. With certain sectors of the internet expanding at an even faster rate with the global upturn our client is ideally placed.
The Client
Our client is one of the UKs largest web based Sales, design and ecommerce firms, a market leading Online Media organisation operating in one of the fastest growing sales sectors globally. They provide customers from SMEs to PLCs with a range of innovative internet services and web based applications that increase their client’s sales, providing marketing and information through a powerful media based solution. Due to increases in business demand they grew by 50% last year creating one of Edinburghs biggest Business to business sales centres. With the expansion of their office space this year more career opportunities are being created and they currently require Sales Executives based at their Edinburgh office.
The Role
You will be working on behalf of a number of market leading world renowned blue chip organisation and recognisable household brand names (BT, Paypal, Google, Amazon). This will involve working in a team based environment where you will be responsible for the sales of a range of internet marketing packages, services and solutions to a range of business customers. Products will include SEO, PPC, websites and other related e-business marketing products. Working to daily targets in a fast paced environment you will be responsible for the complete sales process from initial presentation through to proposal. You will be provided with leads, be cold call telemarketing and generating new business by focussing on providing innovative and creative new media solutions to customers.
The Candidate
Ideally you will have experience of selling any any online/ web/ internet media products and solutions from any sector (i.e. SEO, PPC, SEM, affiliated marketing, websites, website design, online advertising or any related new media product) packages or services to business customers.
Alternatively you will have strong experience and track record of selling any product or service such as mobile phones, office furniture, office supplies, franking machines, IT equipment, IT products, training, telecoms, financial products, digital print services, advertising, home improvements, utilities or a background in recruitment consultancy coupled with a passion for the internet. You will have a solid understanding of the sales process. You will be commercially aware, motivated and enthusiastic. You will have the tenacity to drive sales forward coupled with a real desire to work in an online media industry. You will be PC literate, creative, ambitious, articulate, proactive and quick thinking
You will not require prior knowledge of websites, PPC, SEO or SEM etc as this will be trained.
The Package
