The
USAID Rwanda Huguka Dukore activity, over the course of five years, prepares
the Rwandan youth workforce to meet the needs of an evolving knowledge-based
economy that requires 21st century capabilities. The Huguka Dukore activity
will provide 40,000 vulnerable youth – 36,000 new youth and 4,000 Akazi Kanoze
alumni – with employability skills by scaling up proven successful Akazi Kanoze
interventions across 19 of 30 districts countrywide. Huguka Dukore will use

series of inclusive innovations that will invite more youth to participate in
Rwanda’s historic transformation, particularly women, youth with disabilities.

The
HUGUKA DUKOREM&E support intern will be placed within EDC/ HUGUKA DUKORE.
The Data entry clerk’s main role will be to enter and review data entered in
HUGUKA DUKORE database and clean it up. HUGUKA DUKORE M&E Data entry clerks
will report to EDC. EDC will maintain ongoing evaluation on the Data entry
clerk’s regular attendance and performance.

ESSENTIAL
RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

- PrepareHuguka
Dukore source data for data entry by compiling and sorting information;
establishing entry priorities. - Processes
Huguka Dukore source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies;
resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning
incomplete documents to the supervisor for resolution. - Ensures
that the data recorded on the Huguka Dukore data collection forms is
entered onto the Huguka Dukoredatabase mobile app completely and
accurately and within the time period specified by the supervisor - Enter
monitoring data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on
keyboard according to screen format. - Verify
entered data by reviewing, correcting, or reentering data; avoiding
duplication of data. - Synchronize
data recorded/entered using tablets at the end of the day. - Maintains
operations by following policies and procedures; report needed changes. - Report
any issues and requests or suggestions that would improve the use of
Huguka Dukore mobile app for data entry. - Maintains
confidentiality and adheres to Huguka Dukore Data Protection Procedures. - Ensuring
that appropriate security measures are taken to prevent unauthorized
access to data, in accordance with the Huguka Dukore data integrity and
security procedures - Contribute
to team effort by accomplishing given tasks. - Any
other activity as assigned by Supervisor
An

Skills
- Data
entry experience with an ability to record data accurately - Experience
working in a fast-paced office environment - Good
IT skills with experience using MS Access, Word and Excel - High
level of accuracy and attention to detail - Effective
organizational skills - Effective
verbal and written communication skills including an ability to
effectively deal with telephone and email enquiries - Evidence
of ability to work cooperatively with others to meet tight deadlines
Qualifications
- A2
Level or higher in computer related field. - One-year
experience using a data entry system. - Being
an Akazi Kanoze graduate is an added value. - Being
familiar with management information systems is an added value.
DELIVERABLES:
- Assist
the HUGUKA DUKORE M&E team with monitoring and evaluation activities
by processing all assigned enrollment formsin Huguka Dukore Database using
tablets. - End
of month report.
