We have recently
opened our new Japanese restaurant, Kiyomi, with Chef Chase Kojima at the helm.
Formerly executive
chef at Nobu, and now executive chef and founder of Sokyo, one of the standout
culinary attractions at our sister property The Star in Sydney – we’re excited
to have Chase and his cutting-edge Japanese cuisine to the Gold Coast.
In her few short
months with our property, Kiyomi has quickly moved to the top of the list
across countless restaurant reviews and blogs and has been enjoyed by both our
Gold Coast locals and guests from afar.
The key to the
success of this exciting has been the right team. We’re now ready to take our
restaurant to the next level and looking for a head of sushi bar to help get us
there
Desired Skills
and Experience
Your role will be
Sous Chef, head of sushi bar and you will report to the Chef de Cuisine. You
must have a strong technical knowledge of Japanese cuisine, with a specialty in
sushi. Your role will not only be to lead the sushi bar, but to help our junior
chefs develop the skills you have already mastered:
- Strong
working knowledge of Japanese cuisine - Excellent
technical skills across sushi and sashimi - Leadership
experience from within a kitchen environment - Ideally
experience within hotel kitchen operations - Sound
computer and administration skills - Ideally
experience in a large operation
