Introduction
The East African
Community (EAC) Secretariat has received a Grant from the International
Development Association (IDA) in the amount of USD 16 millions for financing
the EAC Financial Sector Development and Regionalization Project I (EAC
-FSDRPI) to support the development of the financial sector through the
establishment of a single market in financial services among EAC Partner
States.
Objective
of the assignment
The services of a
Securities Market Advisor are required to advise the EAC-FSDRP on the
formulation of policy and strategy for integration of the EAC Securities
Markets, support implementation of sector reforms, to promote the understanding
of the securities markets, among EAC policy organs and build Capacity within the
FSDRPI Project Administration Team.
Qualifications
and experience
The prospective consultant
should have a Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Management, Economics,
Financial Management, Accounting or any other relevant area from a recognized
University/Institution. Candidates should be in possession of at least ten
years relevant experience in the areas of sectoral analysis and market
operations. Interested Individual Consultants are invited to provide their
Curricula vitae which will indicate their professional capabilities and
relevant experience (description of similar assignments including the name of
assignment, value, duration, etc…) and relevant certificates.
