Organization: Earth Haven Farm
Location: Thomasburg, north of Belleville, Ontario
We’re a 200 acre certified biodynamic/organic farm in search of a
great, hardworking person to help us in our 2.5 acre market garden!
Primary tasks would involve weeding, harvesting, and cleaning of
produce, with some possibilities for chicken duities and occasional
help with the cattle, if your personality and interest are right. We
have a great greenhouse and irrigation system as well as a tractor
that help us, but the majority of our work is done by hand. Some fun
occasional tasks might include help with stacking hay, cleaning out
and organizing barns and buildings, and canning produce. Hot days,
cool nights, and gorgeous scenery.
As we would like you to be here for as much of the growing season as
possible, we do have in-house living accomodations available, which is
in addition in your compensation. There is a small child and three
adults currently living here. We can provide meals to suit nearly
every diet. We ourselves eat 100% organic, and are omnivores. We also
offer the chance to attend our biodynamic classes in Ottawa and access
to our extensive on-farm library of books and documentaries.
