Purpose
The
purpose of these Terms of Reference (TOR) is to recruit Field Research
Enumerator’s who will carry out data collection for CRS-Rwada Gikuriro Program
Annual Beneficiary assessment.This document will provide the background and

Background
Gikuriro
is implemented through a consortium of two International Agencies; Catholic
Relief Services – USCCB (CRS) who is the prime and SNV, the Netherlands
Development Organization a sub recipient. INWA works through decentralized
Government of Rwanda (GoR) systems and structures and local civil society
organizations (LCSOs) in the eight targeted districts. CRS and SNV pool
significant technical expertise and capacity strengthening experience in the
four key areas to catalyze results of existing actors: nutrition (CRS), hygiene
and sanitation (SNV), capacity strengthening (CRS and SNV) and BCC (CRS and
SNV).

diseases that can contribute to malnutrition. Children with diarrhea eat less
and are less able to absorb the nutrients from their food.

using electronic devices at the household level (House hold survey).

Further,
this nature of assignment requires that the enumerator is consistent across
tables and that all tables and data sheets in the survey are adequately

must check over surveys upon completion and sign the survey verifying the
accuracy of the survey.

Specific
responsibilities and Tasks of the enumerator:

- Conduct
test trials before the commencement of the actual household survey - Study
and understand all instruction included in the enumerators guide and
provided through the preceding training - Coordinate
with the supervisor on how to carry out the survey and to report daily
work done; - Introduce
yourself, explaining who you are and for who you are working in a manner
that facilitates the participation of individuals in the survey; - Accurately
capture and record data from the household surveys using a tablet - Double
check and revise the survey at the end of the survey in order to correct
mistakes and sign off on completed surveys as verification of the accuracy
of the survey. - Ensure
adherence to the Code of Conduct for Enumerators.

Qualifications
and experience

- Knowledge
of Nutrition, Environmental Health and public health is a requirement - Previous
experience conducting surveys (required) - Experience
in using smart phone or tablets (Android) - Reside
within Kicukiro District (required) - Strong
observation and communication capabilities Ability to work well both
independently and in a team - Bachelor’s
degree in environmental science, psychology, sociology, statistics,
education, health, or other relevant discipline or Student in the last
years of University education - Ability
to read and write - Fluent
in Kinyarwanda and English - Competencies
in community mobilization and facilitation/training and good understanding
of rural
livelihoods
