JOB TITLE: Weekend Sales Manager – Dundrum (Part-Time)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Store Manager

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist the Manager in the day to day management of the store. Provide the highest level of customer service and maximise sales and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

PEOPLE
• Carry out daily team briefing
• Ensure that daily /weekly targets are set and communicated
• Set weekly rosters to achieve targeted sales
• Monitor Staff Productivity weekly
• Monitor / Manage Payroll budget
• Recognise good performers
• Ensure disciplinary procedures are enacted where appropriate
• Monitor timekeeping, attendance and grooming
• Schedule staff for formal training programmes e.g. Induction, Selling skills, Product training
• Coach new and existing staff on product, customer service and procedures
• Ensure that all new entrants are properly introduced into the department/store and are assigned a mentor
• Encourage teamwork and excellence in Internal Service
• Ensure 5* Customer Service is delivered at all times
• Deal with any customer queries / returns
• Daily check of department diary to ensure that all customer service issues are followed up
• Create awareness of additional services and ensure that they are offered to customers
• Recognise and compliment examples of service excellence
• Demonstrate commitment to 5* Internal Service
• Coach staff on managing customer complaints
• Familiarise all staff with procedure for dealing with tag activation

ENVIRONMENT
• Ensure department standards are maintained on a daily basis using the Retail Standards Checklist
• Report any hazards and log maintenance issues in the Maintenance book
• Ensure all staff are aware of Health and Safety standards
• Ensure that all staff are familiar with Evacuation procedures and Assembly Point

PROFITABILITY
• Daily/ Weekly Sales targets are achieved
• Procedures in relation to point of sale are adhered to
• Monitor overs / shorts on a daily basis
• Paperwork in relation to merchandise is completed i.e. mark-downs, transfers etc
• Weekly use of BTRS to track product performance
• Management of basic stocks
• Implement price checks
• Ensure all merchandise is tagged
• Ensure that everybody complies with Security standards
• Take necessary measures to ensure shrinkage levels are kept within department target
