Job Summary: The Diageo Materials Planner –
Spirits will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing of materials’
inventory levels and to be the key day to day interface with local &
overseas suppliers and internal stakeholders in relation to order placing,
call-off, escalations and planning.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Ensure 100% delivery of accurate and effective material requirement
    planning for spirits raw and packaging materials and components within set
    budget in order to meet the business
  • Enhance Materials planning efficiency and reduce COGS. Able to monitor
    and effectively report any material risks
  • Actively coordinate with the weekly production team and Innovations
    on all required raw and packaging materials to deliver plan. Work on
    collaborative relationships with key stake holders.
  • Coordinate with material planners at KBL, Procurement team, Imports
    Planner and relevant suppliers on requirements for internal and externally
    packaged spirits and any innovations coming through
  • Steer routine update of system for new items and any changes in
    production processes. Manage and maintain material codes in the operating
    system
  • Coordinate with stores to ensure vendor managed inventory (VMI)
    does not run out of stock at plant for production and deliveries are made
    OTIF and are maintained to safety stock
  • Generate, analyse and report stock take variance for management
    decision. Maintain and deliver relevant KPI and reports OTIF
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:  
  • The ideal candidate should hold a business related Degree or
    equivalent
  • Member of CIPS or working towards it
  • A minimum of two or more years’ experience in a similar role
    particularly in an FMCG
  • Building and developing relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent records management
  • Structured and organized- able to handle time effectively and
    prioritize conflicting issues and decision making
  • Self-motivated and able to influence others
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilient and energetic
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Good in Spreadsheets (Excel) applications
