Job
Summary:
The Technical Officer Learning Tools
Development will be responsible for the development and implementation of
financial literacy resources and tools e.g. ICT based tools Monitoring and
Evaluation of the implementation of the Strategy for Financial Literacy in
Uganda
Key
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee the development
    of ICT based financial literacy tools
  • In charge of
    developing financial literacy resources and tools
  • Develop engaging
    and interactive financial literacy resources and training materials using
    pedagogical best practice
  • Adaptation of
    tools, curricula and trainings to different target groups
  • Work closely
    with banks and other partners on the adaptation of tools, curricula and
    trainings to different target groups
  • Where required,
    implement trainings to partners, multipliers and end beneficiaries
Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Technically
    support Bank of Uganda in the monitoring and evaluation of the Strategy
    for Financial Literacy in Uganda
  • Work closely
    with a monitoring and evaluation firm in the monitoring and evaluation of
    a development partnership with the private sector ‘Banking on Financial
    Literacy”
  • Guide partners
    on the implementation of the strategy’s monitoring and evaluation guide
Communication:
  • Regularly inform
    stakeholders regularly on processes, achievements and possible synergies
    within activities
  • Produce regular
    internal reports on activities
Other Duties/Additional Tasks: Perform any other financial literacy related tasks under
the AGRUFIN programme Support website content management
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant
    should hold a University degree in relevant field (e.g. education, ICT)
  • Three or more
    years of professional experience in the development and implementation of
    education products (e.g. in an organisation focusing on education)
  • Professional
    experience in using ICT for the development of learning tools and good
    understanding of e-learning models
  • Comprehensive
    knowledge and professional experience in monitoring and evaluation of
    projects
  • Significant project
    management experience
  • Past experience
    in stakeholder management
  • Excellent
    training and presentation skills
  • Good
    understanding of financial literacy and the sector in Uganda is an
    advantage
  • Excellent
    communication skills
  • Good drafting
    skills
  • Creativity,
    innovative thinking and the ability to adapt quickly are desirable traits
