Job Description:
As a member of the Solution and Interoperability Lab, the Service Provider engineer will be responsible for validating SIP trunk interoperability between the different VoIP service offerings provided by Service Providers and Avaya products & solutions. The Service Provider engineer will be responsible for
• Setup and Configuration of company solution to work with Service Provider offering
• Test Plan execution to verify correct configuration
• Maintain and upgrade of company products when required
• Defect identification and tracking critical configuration issues
• Creation and publication of test results and Application Notes
• The successful candidate will work closely with other engineers, developers, and architects within the Service Provider alliance team It is also expected that the candidate will directly interact with Service Providers. The candidate should have excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. A solid knowledge of IP telephony, data networking, contact center, and unified communications is desired.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of telecom experience with emphasis on SIP. Solid understanding of H.323 & SIP technology and standards, Session Border Controllers, SoftSwitches, and Service Provider environments would be desirable.
• Configuration expertise with multiple Avaya platforms is desirable, including Avaya Aura® Communication Manager, IP Office, CS1000, SIP Enablement Services (SES), Session Manager (SM), Voice Portal (VP), Meeting Exchange, and IP Phones.
• Some travel may be required.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal skills required
