This small Sunshine Coast consultancy, established in 1972, specialises in subdivisions, low-rise unit developments, and low-rise commercial developments. With projects ranging from small lot subdivisions to multi-stage developments, they focus on minimising development timeframes and maximising development profits.
Continual growth over the past 12 months has given rise to the need for a senior level Civil Engineer to join the consultancy and develop the business further. This position will require you to manage all facets of projects from inception to completion including all associated liaisons as well as the coordination of internal designers and external sub-contractors to ensure deadlines are met. You will take responsibility for your own jobs and have the flexibility naturally inherent in smaller consultancies to run your own show. Successful Engineers will enjoy sharing in the annual profit as a bonus for your hard work.
• We are seeking applicants with 8+ years experience working in a similar role within a civil environment.
• You will need to be self-motivated and be skilled in all aspects of the process from inception to completion of a project.
• Proven Business Development skills would make you stand out in the crowd as this down-to-earth Principal is looking to grow the consultancy even further
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clear technical advice with due consideration to factors impacting project outcomes
• Preparation of contract documentation, liaising with clients and authorities to ensure project quality
• Preparing tender submissions, contract documentation and writing clear and concise reports
• Responsible for financial aspects of projects- time, scope and cost control
Key Criteria:
• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles and industry regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid capabilities in design, documentation and project management
• Desirable: Local experience
• Must have full working rights within Australia
