THE GRADUATION PROGRAMME
The program aims to unleash the productive capacity
of poor households and increase their resilience to shocks by providing support
to meet their basic needs and generate productive assets.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To contribute to successful micro-enterprise
development/ income generating activities (IGA) design, implementation and
management among target beneficiary households supported by the program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take the lead in strengthening market service
linkages between target beneficiaries and actors within the value chain - Design and implement a capacity building
strategy for partner staff and stakeholders to enhance skills in promotion
of saving, advice on access to credit and, training on business, marketing
and entrepreneurship skills to target beneficiary households - Facilitate successful cooperative formation
and group cohesion in specific micro-enterprises - Mentor/guide beneficiaries in the development
of business plans and advise on credit/loan facilities, based on
assessment of associated risk/business potential - Strengthen financial services linkages with
actors promoting enterprise development in the area - Budget preparation and monitoring for the
micro-enterprise development /IGA component - Ensure program approaches promote
accountability, participation and empowerment of communities and program
beneficiary households. - Ensure that issues of inequality are analyzed
and addressed throughout the program cycle - Ensure appropriate data collection, analysis
and storage to track program progress against process and impact
indicators. - Prepare and submit concise progress reports
(monthly, quarterly and annually) indicating program out puts, outcomes
and impact.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor Degree in Entrepreneurship, Rural
development, Agri-Business or related discipline - At least three years successful experience in
rural development /microfinance/ agriculture extension services or
cooperative programs - A good understanding of the agriculture
sector, policy environment and entrepreneurship, with particular
experience of: - Enterprises development, design and
implementation of market assessments, value chains analysis and micro
finance development, - Program development, implementation,
monitoring & evaluation and report writing, - Community mobilization and use of
participatory approaches and tools - Fluent oral and written English communication
skills and excellent oral communication in Kinyarwanda language.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE:
- Rwandan
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
and Internet - A strategic thinker with excellent critical
analysis skills - Highly motivated, innovative and able to use
their initiative
