Across Australia and New Zealand they continue to enjoy dramatic growth and in line with this growth they have created a new position for a Compliance Director to drive a strong Compliance Agenda across Australia and New Zealand.
As Compliance Director you will have two reporting lines; to the MD locally in Australia and to the Regional Compliance Head based in Asia. Your brief will be to establish criteria to ensure compliance legislatively, equally you will have a mandate to ensure that whatever Compliance Policy is in place is suitably tailored to Australia and New Zealand whilst being consistent with the broader, global Compliance Policy. You will conduct internal system and operational risk assessments across the various departments, divisions and locations in order to establish a starting point from which to work. You will execute internal audits and develop formal written reports to the Senior Regional Leadership and necessary external regulatory parties. Post implementation your job will be to ensure that it is understood, and adhered to across their business.
You will be appropriately professionally qualified and will have a very clear, demonstrable track record of instigating a compliance framework and forging relationships with the appropriate external regulatory bodies. You will either be a senior individual looking to move out of the profession or you will already be working within industry. Either way they seek people with a minimum of 10 years experience with a good proportion of that involving extensive interaction at the highest levels within a company. An ability to multi-task, solve complex problems, negotiate and influence and manage multiples of relationships that are not directly under your control are all essential to succeed in this role.
