The
Position:COL
is seeking an eminent and senior professional to join as an Education
Specialist – Open Schooling conceptualise, lead and manage a portfolio of
activities to promote secondary education using open, distance and
technology-based approaches in accordance with COL’s Strategic Plan. This
involves advising governments, institutions and organisations on policy and
supporting the development of models, capacity and content to ensure that more
boys and girls have access to quality secondary schooling.

Applicants
should have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience working in open,
distance and technology-mediated learning and training related to open
schooling. The position requires proficiency with office technology and a
readiness to travel internationally.

3-year initial appointment is renewable for further term(s) by mutual
agreement.

Person:Must
be a Commonwealth citizen, with ability to network across multilateral
organisations and to work effectively with people from different cultural
backgrounds. An ability to exercise professional judgment, diplomacy and work
in a team, while representing COL’s interest internally or externally, is
paramount to this role.
