The Reporting
directly to the ICAP/Tanzania THIS Project Director, the Senior Advisor, Survey
Implementation Team is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations during
implementation of the Tanzania HIV Impact Survey (THIS) and acting as liaison
between lCAPltanzania and ICAP/New York.

Duties and
Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the lCAPlfanzania THIS Proje

ct Director and Project
Coordinator, as well as the CAP/NY Technical Specialist, to build and maintain
a comprehensive checklist of all survey-related activities and deliverables.
• Act as point of contact between ICAP/Tanzania and CAP/NY to communicate
regular status reports regarding all survey-related activities and
delivdrables.
• Advise survey staff and survey partners regarding logistical and operational
best practices for survey implementation.
• Assist the CAP/Tanzania THIS Project Director and Project Coordinator with
coordination and communication of survey activities in collaboration with
CDCfranzania, Steering Committee, Technical Working Group, National Bureau of
Statistics (NBS), Office of the Chief Government Statistician (OGCS, Zanzibar),
National Health Laboratory Quality Assurance and Training Centre (NHLQATC), and
other survey partners. – Perform other related duties as directed.

Experience, Skills
& Minimum Required Qualifications
• Master degree (or equivalent) in demography, public health, or related health
or medical discipline.
• Approximately eight (8) years of experience in the management of large-scale
international health or development projects, with proven capacity in managing
and supervising a diverse team of technical and support staff.

Approximately four
(4) years of experience in managing or implementing population-based surveys
and data collection in developing countries.
• Demonstrated experience working within CDC or similar regulations and
procedures.
• Proven experience in establishing working relationships and collaborating
with USG, other bilateral, and/or multilateral donor agencies, and with
host-country governments.

Fluent English oral
and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally in
English.
• Excellent oral/written communications, interpersonal, organizational, and
computer skills

Travel Requirements
• Requires local travel up to 400k of the time primarily to assessment regions
throughout Tanzania
