Description:
Applications are
invited for up to 12 Scholarships being offered by the College of Social
Sciences to study for a PhD
Duration
of award(s):
The scholarship will
run for a maximum of three years full-time or 5 years part-time commencing on
September/October 2013
What
does it cover?
An annual bursary
equivalent to the RCUK rate – currently £13,590 (£6795 part-time) for 2012/13.
Fees at the standard Home/EU or International rate.
A research support grant of £750 (£375 part-time) per annum.
Selection
criteria:
Applications will be
shortlisted by a school selection panel using the following criteria: 30% –
for transcript and references,
70% –
for research proposal.
Notification:
The final selection
will be made by a college selection panel and candidates will be notified
by Monday 1stApril 2013.
