A major player within the banking and financial services sector is currently going through a significant product delivery transformation project focussed on the redesign of their credit card systems and processes, which involves integration into their online lending platforms.
Tasked with scoping the project, this is a classic project manager / senior business analysis role involving the engagement of diverse stakeholder audiences, spanning technical, commercial and product focussed teams. In addition to the business requirements gathering, a substantial review of current business processes and documentation will also be required.
A dynamic, proactive and outcome focussed pragmatist, you will be able to demonstrate a good grasp of the bigger project picture in order to be the voice of reason to the business in delivering an outcome that is fit for purpose for all parties. A good balance of business acumen and technological understanding is a must for this position.
Possessing a good understanding of credit card systems and processes from both a technical and user experience perspective, you will be able to diagnose current technical capabilities and constraints in order to support the business in the compilation of a project plan aligned to technical needs and business priorities.
With this in mind previous financial services or banking experience is essential, preferably within a credit card or similar product area. Additional exposure to the online banking and product delivery area would also prove advantageous.
Possessing a broad skill set covering both project management and business analyst type duties, the successful individual will also hold strong understanding of user acceptance testing (UAT) and, ideally, the latest web based technologies.
An initial 3 month contract engagement, this position is expected to extend to at least 6 months as additional product areas are targeted for improvement by the business.
