CBC is currently
looking for a dynamic Journalist specializing in digital platforms to join the
fast paced, forward thinking news team in Montreal.
In accordance with
the Corporation’s Journalist Standards and Practises, as a Digital Journalist,
you will be required to conduct research, draft copy, process sound and visual
footage, and produce thorough, fact-checked, dynamic, compelling news content
specifically for our various digital platforms.
You will work
closely with our radio and television news teams in order to write content for
the Montreal website and play an active role in engaging our audience through
social media.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree
or the equivalent
•Minimum (3) three years of journalism experience or equivalent
•Minimum (1) one year of experience in digital journalism
•Excellent general knowledge
•In-depth knowledge of current events
•Familiarity with local current events
•Fluency in English, exceptional writing skills
•Ability to comprehend written French
•Innovative with a command of new technology
•Knowledge of radio and TV communications, an asset
•Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices
•Strong command of social media
•Proven ability to work in a high-stress, tight-deadline environment
•Willing to work on a rotation basis, must be flexible to work all shifts and
irregular hours, depending on the assignment
•Valid driver’s licence
