Engineer/Polymer Engineer to join our Technology and Innovation team based in
Adelaide, SA.

Adelaide, SA.

time position based in Lonsdale (SA) working with global teams in Germany,
North America, Mexico and China
This position has been created to address expanding needs in the development of
new Plastic Lens Products and the associated production processes. The
processes used include Casting, Injection Moulding and Thermoforming.
Additional process such as Spin and Dip coating are also used in the production
of ophthalmic lenses. Your tasks will include, the planning and execution of
agreed experimental programs, including preparation of lenses and conducting
testing on the final products. It will be ideally suited to recent graduates
who want to develop their practical engineering skills in a hands on role.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in Chemical, Mechanical,
Polymer Engineer or related discipline. You will have the ability to work
effectively as an individual or as part of a team in a multi-cultural and
multi-disciplinarily environment. Good communication skills both written and
verbal, along with the ability to travel overseas to work with our
international teams, is essential.
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge
of Polymer Science and Engineering - Hands
on experience of polymer processing is highly desirable, but not
essential. Critical is a willingness to learn via hands on experience. - Skills
and experience in process modelling would also be highly regarded.
