The Ottawa – St. Lawrence – Outaouais chapter of Canadian Organic
Growers (COG OSO) is seeking a volunteer experienced in Strategic
Fundraising Planning and Implementation.
ABOUT COG-OSO
We are a regional chapter of a national charity, whose mandate is to
lead local and national communities towards sustainable organic
stewardship of land, food and fibre while respecting nature, upholding
social justice and protecting natural resources. We are a lively and
enthusiastic group based in Ottawa, and we offer numerous events and
programs year-round to support knowledge and skills for farmers,
gardeners, educators, children, seniors, and anyone who is interested
in eating healthy food and living in healthy environments. Details of

coordinated
by volunteers, and are sponsored by many different organizations.
STRATEGIC FUNDRAISING PLANNING & IMPLEMENTATION
We are seeking a volunteer to assist volunteers already in place on
the Steering Committee to develop an effective STRATEGIC FUNDRAISING
PLAN that is a good fit for our chapter and our important programs,
advising which fundraisers would be effective and appropriate for our
chapter: for example: “Leave a Gift in Your Will”, Give in Memory,
Corporate Support Ventures, identification of appropriate sources of
grants, effective End-of-Year Donation and other fundraising
campaigns. Overseeing the implementation of the plan will be phase two
of this role.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Experience in Strategic Fundraising Planning & evidence of success
• Skills at leading a Volunteer Team in this planning process
• Skills at managing the implementation of the plan

There could be a modest contract in the works for the successful
volunteer to implement the initial stages of the Strategic Fundraising
Plan.
We invite professionals who might offer us a sponsorship in-kind
combined with a modest contract to apply and attend an interview to
