COG is Canada’s oldest organic organization and only national organic
agricultural charity. We’re looking for a skilled fundraising
assistant who can
assist us with our holiday fundraising campaigns.
Responsibilities:
• Lead fundraising outreach initiatives on social media (Facebook and Twitter)
• Develop and design fundraising communication materials (Adobe Creative Suite)
• Develop and implement strategies for new donor acquisitions
• Develop and manage donor acknowledgements
• Manage volunteers
• Carry-out phone call campaigns
• Develop and design a corporate fundraising package
• Assist Executive Director with development of 2015 fundraising
strategy and timeline
• Assist with gift receipting and data entry in Raiser’s Edge (donor
management software)
• Assist with preparation of 2015 Charitable receipts
• Other administrative duties as needed
Essential Qualifications:
• Work experience and/or combination of volunteer experience and/or
academic background in Fundraising
• Proficient in MS Office
• Experience working with client/donor management systems
• Creative
• Excellent leader and ability to manage others
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Both a leader and a team player
Asset Qualifications:
• Experience working with charities
• Familiarity with CRA Laws governing charities
• Experience working with volunteers
• Experience working with Raiser’s Edge Client Management Software
Salary: $14-$16/hr depending on experience
Hours: 15 hours per week.
Start date: As soon as possible until February 20th 2015. The
possibility of extending the contract and expanding the position
exists. All candidates are subject to a 3-month probationary period.
