These are challenging times for all arts organisations, particularly those that aspire to the highest standards. Founded in 1893, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is one of Britain’s oldest and finest orchestras, with an enviable record of achievement. Whilst its roots are long, it is focussed firmly on the future, with a strong commitment to achieving even greater things.
We wish to appoint a Chief Executive who will play a key role in the development and success of the Orchestra. The person we are looking for will demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, outstanding business and funding expertise and a clear commitment to achieving excellence. An ability to think laterally and innovatively and a keen interest in the arts and music is vital, coupled with an understanding of arts organisations and the problems they face.
If you think you can demonstrate to us that you can rise to the challenges ahead, then we would like to hear from you.
Closing date: Friday 8 July 2011
For an information pack and further details please contact Janet Male (jmale@bsorchestra.co.uk or 01202 644704), or if you would like to discuss the position please contact current Chief Executive Simon Taylor at 01202 644702.
