1.Deputy Nursing Manager
1.1.Main Purpose of the job
Managing and developing all nursing related services
and activities according to the policies, procedures, philosophy and objectives
of the hospital
1.2.Qualifications and Experience
•Approved Bachelor of Nursing/Nursing
Administration Degree
•Master’s Degree in Nursing will be an added
advantage
•A minimum of 3 years recent Nursing Management
experience
•Current registration with the Botswana Nursing
& Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse is essential
1.3.Competencies Required
•Leadership skills including coaching and mentoring
of middle level managers
•Ability to translate health care strategy into
operational objectives
•Demonstrated competence in managing and overall
financial performance of the department and cost effectiveness and
understanding budgets and variances in nursing costs.
•Demonstrated experience in continuous quality
improvement and patient safety
•Actively involved in networking in the
private/public healthcare sector
