BDF Ltd is a company
whose mission is to promote SME development through provision of financial
services to enhance the lending mechanisms of financial institutions. The
company aims at being the leader in facilitating projects to access financial
services through provision of financial facilities and business advisory
services. Within the context of decentralizing services, BDF wishes to recruit
a BDC Coordinator to oversee the operations of BDCs


 

1. BDC
COORDINATOR

. Duties and
responsibilities:

·        
Overall
management and supervision of business development centers including
responsibility for overseeing the Centre’s objectives and performances targets.
·        
Provision
of overall coordination of the activities of the BDCs in the provinces
·        
Ensure
that the BDCs get all the required staffing, equipment, have the requisite
annual plans and budgets and are fully operational
·        
Solicit
support for BDCs within the different stake holders in the districts, provinces
and central government as well as development partners
·        
mobilize
resources for BDCs from international organizations, donors community and
solicit partnership with renown international institutions and companies that
support SMEs in other parts of the world
·        
Establish
contacts and linkages with experienced people from all over the world in BDC
promotion to become regular resource persons for the BDCs
·        
Provide
regular oversight services to all BDCs including expertise required
·        
Outreach
and marketing in the district to encourage the private sector to use the
Centers.
·        
Interacting
with senior members of the local business community; including District and
Provincial representatives.
·        
Maintaining
a calendar of events taking place at the BDCS Centers.
·        
Overseeing
BDS programs with partners and identifying opportunities to add new programs.
·        
Provide
regular activities to BDF Management.
·        
Organize
networking events for SMEs facilitated with BDCs.
·        
Regularly
and frequently travel to different districts to address centre challenges
·        
Represent
BDF at ail coordination meeting with stakeholders
·        
Initiate
a working relationship with all financial institutions to utilize the services
BDCs
·        
Performing
other duties as assigned

Education and
Experience:

·        
A
degree in the area of Business development or relevant subject (Accounting,
Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Economies, social sciences) from a
recognized university or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
work experience.
·        
At
least 3 years’ experience working in the area of SME development in either and
private and public sector domain.
·        
Must
fluently speak Kinyarwanda, English or French and knowledge of both will be an
added advantage.
