Gaborone, or Gabs as it is locally known, is the capital and largest city of Botswana, is located 15 miles from the South African border and is widely regarded as one of the safest cities in Africa today. Gaborone is also Africa’s fastest growing city in terms of GDP per capita, and there is a large and growing expatriate community here, including a number of people we have assisted in moving there!
Offices are modern and centrally located in the city. For those wanting further reassurance, Botswana is politically and economically stable, and has been since independence from Britain in 1966. Salaries are approximately £30,000 equivalent, and given the low cost of living in Gaborone, this allows you to live very comfortably. The Partners are seeking applicants with Western experience who are seeking additional responsibility in their work, who they can promote quickly within the practice.
Weekends offer a variety of new opportunities including visiting the surrounding region (South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia and more), enjoy the wildlife up close and personal on a Safari expedition, trekking, or simply enjoy the nightlife closer to home in the city!
Requirements:
• Fully qualified accountant
• Newly or recently qualified ACA or equivalent
• 3-5 years current and relevant external audit experience
• Small to medium firm experience
• Industry clientele
